As a proud New Zealand shoe brand specialising in women’s shoes, The Andrea Biani team is always on the lookout for innovative ways to enhance our women's fashion collections. Recently our Directors, husband and wife team, Andrea and Vern Bailey, embarked on an exciting Trip back to China. Their mission? To source new materials for the upcoming Autumn/Winter 2025 collection and oversee the production of our Spring/Summer 2024 collection

The Heart of Our Craft: Guangzhou, China

For over two decades, Andrea Biani has partnered with a small, family-owned factory in Guangzhou, China. The skilled artisans craft each pair of AB shoes with care and precision, ensuring they meet the high standards our Andrea Biani customers expect. This long-standing relationship we have with this factory is built on a shared commitment to ethical manufacturing practices, while working together on ways we can be more sustainable.

Sourcing Materials for Autumn/Winter 2025

One of the key highlights for Andrea and Vern on their recent trip was their visit to the renowned fabric and textile market. Here, they meticulously selected materials that would not only align with our brand’s aesthetic but also ensure durability and comfort for our customers. Andrea, the primary designer, was thrilled to explore the new textiles, envisioning how each piece would come to life in the upcoming collection.

Overseeing Spring/Summer 2024 Production

In addition to sourcing new materials, Andrea and Vern checked in on the production of our Spring/Summer 2024 collection. This involved meetings with the 'Sample Master' to ensure the fit and quality of our shoes were up to standard. They also explored new shoe lasts and heels, aiming to introduce fresh, innovative designs to our upcoming collections.
